Only 69,810 original, clean miles. Jeep Wrangler Sport 4.0. Always garaged. Always had 3000-4000 mile oil changes which is why it runs so well after all these years I believe.
Jeep includes a heavy duty 9000 lbs factory installed front cable winch with added remote. The image shows the winch uses the heavy duty cable, not just rope.
Lots of life on the tires. Cooper Discoverer tires 31X10.50 R15 included (cost $220 each). I have never taken the jeep off road except some fun dirt roads in the woods, and I love to drive it on the beach. I always, always meticulously rinse the entire jeep after a beach run. (That is why it is in such good shape)
I just personally love this older style wrangler. Very well built. Not many “computerized electronic parts” to breakdown. And in my opinion, the old wranglers are the perfect size of jeep. The new ones are nice, but way too bulky (more like an SUV) and they will never go back to this great, basic and beautiful hard working style again. Go to the beach, the mountains, downtown, and dare I say drive even through Hurricanes. Go anywhere you want. Loads of fun in the sun! Easy to maintain. Just change the oil.
Brakes are all good. Transmission good. The jeep has absolutely no mechanical problems.
Car Fax is available.
Owners Note: (1) First owner in 1997 was in California. (2) Second owner trailered the jeep from CA to Cape Cod, MA in 2005. I bought this in 2006 and I have owned it the last 17 years. Car Fax says 5 owners but that was me moving from Cape Cod, MA to NY. Then from NY, I trailered the jeep to Florida.
What the jeep needs: (1) The jeep will need new fog lights. They are the original and no longer work. Just old and I never replaced them. Easy to add on to the front and you can get some really cool ones. Fog lights are of course already wired to the inside dashboard buttons. (2) Also, there is a problem with the cdplayer/am-fm radio. I imagine there is a loose wire to the overhead speakers, but I never looked into it as I always use my Siris xm radio setup. I cannot imagine the fix is very hard again as jeeps are so simple and smart in design. (3) The jeep is not in perfect physicial condition because it is from 1997 and all original parts. Look at the pictures, and if interested, and you have the money, come see it and take a ride. I will 100% not consider any low ball offers. Not going to happen.
Why am I selling after all these years? Well, I am 67 years old and it is a 3rd car for a 2 car family. I just do not use it anymore. It sits in my garage. It really can be enjoyed by someone else. Times change. So, if you are already a jeep lover, you already know the joy of jeep people! There is no reason my wrangler will not last another 25 years easily with simple TLC. If you have never owned a Jeep, and want to have a really, really fun, special and unique ride, well maybe this is your chance. THESE JEEPS ARE NOW COLLECTORS ITEMS I BELIEVE. Thank you.
