1983 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler, 80,xxx miles, 6 cyl 258, 4 speed T4, AMC20 and Dana 30 axles with 3.54 gearing. Power steering and power brakes.
Axles have recently been rebuilt with new seals and bearings, and rear 2 piece axles have been replaced with solid shafts. 4 inch lift, with 35” tires in good shape, on Jeep wagon wheels which have been sandblasted and repainted. Frame has been rebuilt in the rear, and there has been some new metal rebuilt in the body, as well as the front floorboards replaced. Underbody and frame were cleaned up and undercoated.
New Rugged Ridge seats, new radio and speakers, console, dash pad. All gauges work, and the speedo reads spot on! New oak sideboards and rubber bed liner. All drive train fluids have been changed, and there are no leaks under anything that I am aware of. Engine, tranny and transfer case work as they should. The interior and bed were coated with a tough polyurethane coating, and then the Jeep was sprayed with new copper metallic paint and Phoenix graphics added. Half top is in good condition, but has a few small flaws around the edges.
This Scrambler is not perfect, it has a few small paint and character flaws, but for being 40 years old, it is in very good overall condition, and runs and drives amazing. Clear title in my name, located in Manchester, Iowa. $26,000.
