This beautiful 1980 Jeep CJ5 has been a frame off restoration. It started out as a pile of parts. No detail has been overlooked.
Starting at the front of the Jeep, you see a bumper that adds an off road ready look. All new lights were installed on the grill along with the front fender markers. The old rusted fenders were replaced with new ones.
Those year appropriate Renegade decals add the perfect touch to the beautifully repainted Jeep, speaking of the paint it is a single stage paint in smoke grey metallic, color code 0B.
New windshield frame and wipers hold up the new bikini top.
This CJ5 has all new gauges on an uncut original dash. The radio delete panel can be easily removed for you to add your own radio. Brand new low back black vinyl seats from Smittybilt have been installed along with an new vertically driven products center console.
The new floor pans in the front and rear have been coated in Raptor liner and color matched to the exterior paint color. The entire wiring harness was completely removed and replaced with a Painless wiring harness.
The old wore out 258 inline 6 was completely rebuilt, along with the carburetor. The manual steering was upgraded to power steering to assist in turning the tires.
A brand new aluminum radiator was installed to help keep the engine cool. The distributor was upgraded as well to the HEI distributor.
The 3 speed transmission was rebuilt. All new shocks, steering stabilizer, and body lift.
Entire fuel system was replaced. The fuel gauge works! New stainless steel fuel lines.
Brakes were gone through and replaced front calipers and pads, along with some of the brake lines. New master cylinder.
